About Our Initiative

The Responsible Package initiative is an industry-wide effort to promote the versatile and sustainable packaging solutions provided by paper-based packaging. The Responsible Package supports paperboard, corrugated, and paper bag and sack products and will further the paper-based packaging industry's commitment to providing renewable, recyclable and sustainable packaging that also is reliable and economically viable. 

The Responsible Package campaign is designed to advance the leadership position of paper-based packaging within the broader packaging industry That enables The Responsible Package to leverage stakeholder companies' existing sustainable practices and resources to educate and inform packaged goods manufacturers and packagers.

American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA)

     The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) is the national trade
     association of the forest products industry and advances public policies      
     that promote a strong and sustainable U.S. forest products industry in the
     global marketplace.

Association of Independent Corrugated Converters

AICC represents, and protects, the business interests of the independent sector of the corrugated packaging industry.

Corrugated Packaging Alliance (CPA)

       The Corrugated Packaging Alliance (CPA) is a joint initiative of the Association
       of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC), the American Forest & Paper          Association and the Fibre Box Association. CPA promotes the benefits of      
       corrugated packaging.

Fibre Box Association (FBA)

The Fibre Box Association (FBA) is a non-profit trade association that represents North American corrugated packaging manufacturers and strives to grow, protect and enhance the overall well-being of the industry by providing member-valued programs and services.

Paperboard Packaging Alliance (PPA)

The Paperboard Packaging Alliance (PPA) is a joint initiative of the American Forest & Paper Association and the Paperboard Packaging Council. The PPA provides the paperboard packaging industry with ongoing analysis of evolving packaging requirements and promotes the benefits of paperboard packaging and products.

Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC)

PPC, the leading industry association serving converters and suppliers of all forms of paperboard packaging, works to grow, promote, and protect the paperboard packaging industry while providing its members with resources and tools to compete effectively and successfully in the marketplace.

Paper Shipping Sack Manufacturers' Association (PSSMA)

The Paper Shipping Sack Manufacturers' Association (PSSMA) is the national trade association of U.S. producers of multiwall shipping sacks.

Renewable Bag Council (RBC)

The Renewable Bag Council, formerly the Paper Bag Council, is a coordinated effort by Kraft paper producers and converters to promote paper bags as the preferred choice for use in retail and grocery outlets.
